Religious Companies? The only big one I know is Sanitarium. Vinnies stores sell goods but they are donated and the money raised is spent on welfare for the needy. Also volunteers run them except for maybe one paid manager.
The rest of their land is used for things like schools, hospitals and for religious use (church buildings).
Governments do make contributions to religious organisations but the money is given directly to those who need it by volunteers. In addition the churches give away their own money to the poor.
