I don't know PL that well (only met him once waay back in 2006) but I think from memory he said it at an AGM and he said people should have 10% in spec stocks like Range so that might have even been advice to share the 10% around!

Either way I reckon he would still classify Range as a spec stock but one that is a whole lot less risky than before - but still a spec.

There is a smaller production profile in the USA and possibly a better share of a good production profile in T&T. The elephants in Georgia and Puntland are high probability targets but still a chance of nothing in either. I like the potential but the valuation is full for what we know now and my silly risk concentration has paid off. Now it's time to grow old gratefully with plenty in the bank and still a couple of million options just in case.

I could have done without the 2007-2010 period but it still paid off in the long run but only because I went back in at the lows.

As for $7 . . . . .

I think you might want to revise your target . . . . that puts in in the same group as Macquarie Bank, Suncorp, Fosters . . . .
