    ftr, it doesn't matter all that much if its a gradual dip.
    If anything its an indicator that more may be there than meets the eye...........
    Also, and although the dip down may mean a slight increase in overburden removal in some parts, its good quality assurance - if it runs down then the product is closer to its optimum grade, if it starts to run up then it may peter out towards the surface - unless its a giant non threatening fault that simply splits the layout of the deposit to a small degree.

    I remember going over a seam guide for a large coal mine, thought we had everything mapped out to the letter - dips, faults, thrusts, oxidization, outcrops, subcrops and everything in between.

    Turns out you can be digging away and just randomly find more resources, big "lenses" of the stuff in the weirdest possible places while you are trying to get at the established seams - result = unexpected windfall.

    Would not surprise me if this was the case here, after all you can only drill so much before you commit to blasting the ground and actually going after it, they will be digging and find more resource at various levels that were not indicated in the drilling.
