As you say, Gillard seems far more knowledgeable about the coalition's policy than she is about her own. It's no wonder the coalition don't spell out all their policies when Ms Gillard is then likely to sprout off selective half truths in scare campaigns as she did recently with carbon tax cuts.
I have rarely heard her actually answer a question directly. She seems well trained in deflecting questions. The only one that stands out is when she admitted recently on Q&A that she lied about the "no carbon tax" and had every intention of moving ahead with carbon policy regardless - that's how I understood it.
