not bad when you consider that mum and dad investors in telstra wait all year for that kind of return from their dividends.

if a company needs the money in an emergency, like in late 08/early 09, then a private placement is fine. but for a raising like this, what is a few extra weeks to treat your loyal retail holders fairly?

i've expressed my concerns to the company. haven't gotten a reply from management as yet.
