    Hi Reaper11, The decision on electricity privatisation by Labor caused divisions and dissent from the union movement and grass roots Labor. That was the big issue followed by recriminations and untoward behaviour by some members. You are quite correct about those figures on low unemployment and credit rating but I still think they would have lost the election anyway because twenty years would simply be too long. If it were not for the privatisation and divisions and scandal they probably would have lost in a close result. These issues resulted in a wipeout and completely understandable imo.
