In the announcement today Dash has been very careful in choosing his words.


"successfully initiated syngas production from its Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) Panel 2"
This does not say that syngas is being produced with consistent flowrate in any quantity.


"This will enable Carbon Energy to undertake its first steps towards generating electricity from UCG syngas, which will be the first Power Generation facility of its type in Australia"

No new milestones achieved yet. This thing wont take off until we get electricity into the grid.

The wording sounds like its going to take a long time before there is any success with electricity.

The reliability of the process is still in question here.
