about tiem the US did a consumption tax - a tax on imports lol - it would take some consumer money and keep it in the US economy for once - why they didnt do this sooner is anyones guess. Tax the old as they spend their retirement funds - also a good idea facing rising social security costs in the USA in 20 years time
