I dont think Sumitomo were actually awarded the licence from the governemnt. There was a lot of speculation on their website on a non reputable newspaper but as far as I am aware the actual licence has not been issued via the Solomon Islands governemnt. ( obviously I could be mistaken )
Their appears to be some serious money coming in so I for one dont think Summitomo have any basis for complaints.
Time will tell !
