Hoots,
The copper concentrate produced by CDU's mill will, in all probability, be copper/iron sulphide separated from the ore by froth flotation.
In such a concentration technique. there is no separation of the copper from the sulphur. To separate the Cu from the S the concentrate needs to be oxidised at a smelter. The S goes up the flue leaving a somewhat impure 'matte'
The copper matte can then be refined electrolytically to produce a high purity copper product. It is not uncommon for refinery product to be 'four nines' pure i.e. 99.99% Cu
As for the native copper - different kettle of fish. CDU tell us it is about 98% Cu, as mined. Don't know what would happen to it - as you know, not many mines have to cope with native copper in any quantity. Maybe they'll sell it as is, or feed it straight to a refinery.
Cheers, Gung
