    This from myresources.com.au 30/3/11

"Sundance Resources said that it was reasonable to expect a 20 per cent increase in total costs to develop its multi-billion dollar Mbalam iron ore project in Africa.
The Perth-based explorer provided an update on the project following a report in the Australian Financial Review which cited CEO Giulio Casello as saying the development in the republics of Cameroon and Congo could cost US$4 billion.
The company in 2008 conducted a pre-feasibility study (PFS) of the project and estimated a cost of US$3.277 billion.
But the scope of the project has since expanded to include a second mine, 60km spur line and processing facility at Nabeba in the Republic of Congo.
"These two sources of ore are expected to underpin annual production of approximately 35Mt (million tonnes) for 10 years," Sundance said in a statement.
"The company believes it is reasonable to expect an increase of at least 20 per cent on the total capital expenditure requirements not included within the original PFS because of the expanded scope of the project incorporating additional resources discovered by Sundance since the PFS was completed."
Final capital and operational expenditure estimates will be announced to the market once a definitive feasibility study is complete.
Sundance also said talks with potential project partners and financiers were proceeding well.
"Final debt and equity components of the funding arrangements will be a function of the strategic partner ultimately involved," the explorer said.
"However, at present a ratio of 70 per cent debt and 30 per cent equity would appear reasonable for the project."
Sundance last month said it had held talks with Koreas's POSCO but the AFR report quoted Mr Casello as saying a Chinese partner would be more likely."
