Good on you Val, I might be quite biassed, but, I still think that I am a realist and honest. Yes, it has been a good trading company, but, IMO, that is because there has been so much uncertainty about the company and it fluctuated with the various turn of events.
But, after this sell off, which really is a cleansing of those that have been trapped for a while because of poor ST decisions last year that inadvertently turned them into LT holders and now want to get right out, together with the last lot of opportunistic DTs, I can only see positive and price sensitive anns coming out of this company for months to come.
I posted yesterday that if you have a 25 year old child, then put some in his/her name and they might be able to retire with you before they is 30. I also said that this is now a classic LT hold with the next 1 to 5 years showing great progress, media and market recognition and some very exciting "relationships" with, IMO, the "bigger end of town" O&G companies.
This "binding contract" is huge in anyone's language and if Santos or Beach or even Woodside had secured it, it would be all over the media and newspapers. But, Icon is a "minnow" and it's like the poor old bloke in Hemmingway's Old Man and the Sea. He caught a fish that was too big for him and ultimately it was eaten by the sharks. The market IS sceptical about the size of this contract, they do think that it is too big for a small company like Icon to deliver.
They will keep saying, erroneously, how can we contract to supply over $20 BILLION worth of gas, when we ourselves have NO 2P gas and have absolutely no record as a company, although many of our Directors have, with any form of gas production and development.
That will all change with time and with all the progress that will be made and reported.
So, for what it is worth, I reckon that Icon is nearly too good to be true at these prices and with the huge future that is in its grasp.
