In my opinion, gillards carbon tax is merely a grab for cash from a wasteful and useless government.

It makes no sense to tax us on emmissions and then compensate us, while at the same time handing over money to fund carbon reductions in undeveloped nations. Undeveloped nations are the least carbon emitting nations in the world, as they arent even industrialised yet.

This carbon tax is ridiculous, and seems like it has been thought out by a 5 year old who has not looked at the full effects of this across our country, and the impact it will have on our lives/businesses/trade, etc. What a joke! We are such a low carbon emmission country, but if labour were really worried about it they would put a limit on the emmissions (allocate them) instead of making a grab for cash.Or maybe give everyone solar panels as that would surely be cheaper than this tax.

If Gillard had guts she would call an election on this issue, and let our democratic people decide for ourselves, but instead we are being run by a government who abuse their power, while leaving us powerless!!
