You summed it up rather well , Some are born into wealth and power and have the best opportunities available to start with , others are born into poverty and squaler having to deal with discrmination before they are old enough to know what the word means and have little opportunity to do anything about until much latter in life if they survive that long.
I dream of a country and even of a world where all people have a fair amount of opportunity to start with.
You can't drag an ancient culture forward thousands of years in a little over two hundred.
I don't know what the solution is but I am sure neither does Andrew Bolt.
No one chooses to be born rich or poor , black or white , healthy or sick ,man or woman, beautiful or ugly , smart or dumb , gay or straight. But we all get judged on those things.
We should encourage those that are born with great opportunity to make the most of it and help those around them less fortunate.
Those that were born with little opportunity we should do the best we can as a society to address that lack of opportunity and try to close the gap as much as we can in the future.
When we are all born equal then we can start saying we should all be treated equally.
I'm not excusing bad behaviour just epousing affirmative action.
