    Sarcophagus,

    You said:

"best to make a start at dropping all the accumulated unecessary baggage and make some attempt at cutting to the core."

"why not question the unquestioned acceptance of habitual cultural conventions?"

This is where we part company.

Why do we need to "question" everything ? There are certain things best left the way they are. It is not necessary for me to have answers to everything, especially those that relates to the supernatural, to the unknown. And, I AM at ease and at peace with that approach. You might not be, but that is for you to decide, not for me to suggest you should do this or not.

I have had my own personal spiritual encounters in life, an experience only I understand, and that is what is important, it is not important if strangers believe that or not. Belief in God or belief in a superior being, or belief in fairies, they really are one's own journey to find and to live his/her chosen path, both in the spiritual and material sense.

Like I had said before, I am responding here just for the sake of having a conversation. What you believe in or do not believe in in this area of human existence is of no concern to me.

I have chosen that figure in my signature for a reason.
