George, "I can,t really blame you lot for getting nasty, you must be nervous waiting for the announcement. However, think of this, if the people posting only gave the same view how boring would that be"
Actually George (and this might come as a surprise to you and your ilk") 'getting nasty' is an interesting way of putting things...and I notice you mention 'boring' in the same sentence...Ok try this..
Getting nasty is not actually what is happening, but we are 'bored' and we're bored because many of us here are long term investors, who have followed the CDU story for years...and strangely enough have also had the capacity to remove rose coloured glasses and provide 'constructive criticism' re the pros and cons of this company... I want you to read the phrase 'constructive criticism' again..because believe me it is an important point.
You see between us, we are quite capable of playing devils advocate, of being able to deconstruct company announcements or highlighting things that may be not quite right (using a favoured AKA phrase, good on ya Hoots ) we actually do have those amongst us who have both experience and knowledge of the whole gamut of exploration and mining. There are few on Hot Copper that can hold a light to some of the seriously knowledgeable posters here on the CDU thread, who I might add are not only posters but also investors of the company.
I'll tell you what is really really 'boring' what is 'boring' are those posters who have invaded the thread with totally other agendas, (and we acknowledge that they also play a part of this 'game') but they can be nevertheless totally boring in their assumptions that they are dealing with a pile of inexperienced, naive investors who know jack squat about anything at all, (never mind the company that they have put their hard earned cash into)
That is what I personally call boring, do you follow?.
So it really is all quite simple and in short it perhaps comes down to respect, I'll say that again....respect. No one minds a non holder ( who let's face may still hold an interest in the company and may want to get back in at some time) being constructively critical and asking hard and or complex questions. In providing answers we all benefit from the expertise of other posters who have true knowledge about the mining industry or corporate takeovers or Joint Ventures etc etc etc. Who is going to mind such a thing?
No the real pains are the 'destructive critics' who get their jollies off being, well, destructive...with their own nefarious agendas, they are here to scare the living daylights out of less experienced investors, or create major doubt on announcements that are pretty straight forward that is a totally different ballgame all together my friend.
In short we can manage surprisingly well, be constructive, be respectful and be sincere, and we'll get along just fine, but do not insult the intelligence of the many hardworking posters on this thread with facile posts.
I think that about says it....and no I'm not getting into a debate about this, it is pretty self explanatory....and you know it.
Cheers to holders, and cheers to those who have, with all sincerity kept CDU members on their toes by asking the difficult questions, and getting 'serious' responses back.It has been a long, hard and difficult road but some of you guys and gals are worth your weight in... yeh what the hell...
