Religion is a belief system based on faith in what is handed down by the ordained. The predominant religions of our time all began as cults before coming under the mantle of those who held political power. In exchange, religions were forced to accommodate the demands of the state, which included the removal of certain texts and beliefs, along with the reconstruction of much which was left. They were used to support a form of mind control over the general population so that they would remain loyal servants to the PTB.So today we have religions which have become mired in dogma and a serious lack of evolution, whose leaders frequently present as having no idea as to what they are supposed to represent.Religious institutions and their leaders have generally "lost the plot",however this has nothing to do with the innate intelligence of the universe, or "God" at large.

Spirituality relates to the experiencing of God and this is what should be,and probably was,at the heart of all religions prior to their corruption.Fortunately, despite the failure of religion to maintain purity of purpose and the incessant distractions of modern living, the majority of people have continued to evolve, and step by step, edge closer to a higher level of consciousness in which spiritual experiences become more frequent and religion is no longer required or wanted.

Jesus was the son of God,but so too are we all,and the statement that 'no one comes to the Father except through me' would have served a powerful purpose for state and church power over the 'flock'.Jesus also said ,'that the Kingdom of Heaven is found within' and can therefore be found without outside assistance,a great example of this in Australia having been Arthur Stace ('Eternity').
