With respect geo_au, your evidence is not scientific, just the opinion of others, not something subject to experimental testing. That is how science works.
However, I agree with you in part, I would also point to the experience of mankind, not the specific groups you refer to, to show that mankind has experienced the spirit; the spriritual side of man exists pointing to an existence of a an indestructible soul in contrast to the position of atheists. This leads to Christ and resurrection because we are a unity not a duality - body and soul.
