this article states negotiations have begun with representatives of the T/O's and goes on to say RWD must consult and seek approval from the Martu before any mining can proceed - yet the heading screams that RWD sp has jumped due to "negotiations with the traditional owners"....


no! there have not been negotiations directly with the T/O's yet and this is precisely where the deal came undone previously - many elders, according to Tribunal hearings, were vigorously opposed to any mining of LD despite their representatives claims to the contrary - have the elders changed their minds?..... nobody knows the answer to that and nobody will know until there has been face to face negotiations with those who earlier opposed mining......


LD is still in the balance - and I won't get into the cost of any actual mining operation - LD being in the middle of nowhere, no infrastructure, having to truck a bulk commodity 150km to any decent transport centre etc..... maybe RWD can make it, maybe not, but for me it's still way too early to putting money on it - I did previously, and I know where that got me.....
