Does anyone know if mgt is considering hedging the gold price for the Shambesai project? I know hedging is currently out of favour BUT if they hedged the initial 180,000 ozs of production only, at say $1400 oz, this would increase the project's cash flow by $72m giving a total return of $190m for a capex outlay of $16m.
the advantage that i see is that it gets rid of pricing risk for those 180,000ozs while leaving the bulk of the resource unhedged. turning this into a low risk/high return project which is a certain company maker.
no more capital raisings - sorry mr chairman - and enough cash flow to drill the hell out of the prospect. share price zoom zoom!!
