GregNZ...whilst I get what you are trying to say, I think there are other ways of looking at things. You have always been the pragmatist on this forum, some would say a stick in the mud, but at the same time your opinions are sound and just for a long term investor.
Im of the school that takes risks while your young enough to afford it. Its all well and good to be a safe investor, and limit your risk, if your situation so desires...but its also well and good to take risks to make the big bucks, because thats the only way it will happen IMO!
I took a risk buying into a Company at its lowest ebb that was floundering, had no cash, had dodgy management (Dr Blood), but had an excellent product and IP, and could only go one way I thought.
On that fateful day...those options I bought during the height of the GFC are now up over 30,000%.
All I can say is research like a demon and then trust your gut instinct and your heart.
Not having a go GregNZ, just offering a different perspective...I always value your honest and down-to-earth opinion.
We all have our strategy's....and thats mine :)
