The UK has approved the feedin tariff for < 2kw micro-CHP products. There are currently two mCHP Stirling engines on the market:

Currently for mCHP generators the FIT is 10p/kWh. (For solar PV it is 29p/kwh). The review panel said too few mCHP units were deployed to warrant much attention. A review will take place when 16,000 mCHP units have been installed. Fuel cells are expected to be added too the list when they are available to the public.

The BluGen fuel cell is about 6 X more efficient than BaxiEcogen & WisperGen mCHP Stirling engines. (i.e. produces 6 X more electricity for the same amount of gas.)
