I'd usually agree - but looking at the fact that SI just got in on a 7.6 placement and the SPP is very limited - would doubt they want to see the SP trashed

It's much more the traders that want to see that result as it is their bread and butter of making a living

I've seen CR's and SPP with the SP increasing and holding

Personally - and being an investor and not a trader - I'd rather be "in" than out at this point in time

And contrary to what you state - I believe most of the "hype" is about gold that we know is there - is easy to get to - and TI, if and when it eventuates - will be the "icing" on the Coolgardie cake

Just my uneducated personal opinion
