Lynas is so far ahead of any other major future rare earths producer outside of China it's not even funny. Think of the psychological advantage that Lynas will have once Malaysia plant starts up.
As for delays at Mount Weld, show me a major resources project that started on time? Delays are normal in the resources industry, and for this reason I would suggest that the start up of Mount weld has not been priced into the share price yet. Lynas' competitors such as Moly also face the same possible delays.
The only thing that can stop Lynas going up and up is a double dip world recession later in the year. This is completely possible, but hey that would affect the whole market and not just Lynas so if you are afraid of that happening than why trade in the market at all?
Rare earths are the materials of the 21st century society. Almost nothing technologically advanced can work without them.
