Most likely to my mind is some sort of takeover by a consortium of majors so the IP gets shared - we minnows will get some crumbs to assure we do not scream too much.

The threat is easy ie do a deal or we throw the coy into bankruptcy which would mean we six tenths of nothing back.

Ah well at least there is hope a year or so ago it was much dimmer...Lee should be thanked and supported all the way as well as the engineers and Arthur Schatz.
