AuCu, I agree with you. it's a wise thing to sell up some of ones share portfolio by stages when the market gets frothy. There will be plenty of tell-tale signs. One thing though, as they say "the market will stay irrational than you can stay solvent". Hence, it may be a year or more after the talk of stock bubbles start to surface in the papers before jumping ship. Perhpas ASX200 at 7500 ?? Who knows.

I also agree house prices "have already started" and will fall precipitously from hereon. 2011-2013 bloodbath. The leafy Melb suburbs that I have been keeping a close eye on in recent months have copped a hammering. Some I swear already 30% down from teh asking price back in June/July last year.

But I won't be buying up until post 2015-16 for the trough will be around. Falls will continue into 2014-15 but moderating.
