Well if you had no yellow question marks, means that your software is talking talking to your hardware.

I did circle the video controller, but it was only cause that is the only hardware i have currently that doesn't have drivers assigned(hence yellow question marks) to it atm (formatted my computer on friday night, been installing programs since then slowly as i need them)

I think the audio comes under "multimedia controller" for memory.

Only other thing i can think of in this case would be, type sndvol32.exe into the run command. Is any volume controls on mute?
