Yes speculation
However, you can say all stocks are speculative it's just the degree of risk associated with the company.
IAU was highly speculative but I believe that the risk has been mitigated somewhat by the events of the past 6-12 months.
IAU is not a done deal but the buyers of $120m of Company shares I'm sure would have done there homework and not risked their money without some idea that they were going to get it back.
So yes speculative but what's the risk is the question????
