We do have HREEs Shady Merv, but as someone else said how much at this stage is unknown. It seems to be only a small percent of the total but seeing as how our deposit in total seems to be huge, well our HREE deposit may still be very significant.
My interst in chemistry was curtailed at a young age when I nearly burnt the house down making honky nut bombs on the pool table so is limited to explosive chemicals.
However if your quickly research through the past announcments you will find lists of which REEs we have. I seem to remember one of the announcments, maybe the last drill results, tabulate the REEs discovered to date into LREEs and HREEs. Its not like silver and gold with gold being worth 20 times that of silver. From memory and this is very rough but HREEs and the mo are worth a bit more than double that of LREEs, but ofcoarse it depends which ones. People can dispute this as I am being rough as guts with this and it is constantly changing.
I will say that clearly the biggest rises proportionatly over the last year have been in the prices of LREEs. It is very tough to get a handle on where fair value lies in the various companies and really it doesnt matter what you the individual thinks, its the market that decides value in the end. I image towards the last part of this year we will see more direction with pricing of the REE companies and more consideration not just of size but grade and level of radiation and real viability of prospects.
Just to get the party started Shady I will tell you what I think of the various REE comapanies that spring to mind and what i reckon they will be at the end of the year.
This excludes posibilities of T/Os and other such happenings.
So as of Dec this year this is how i reckon it might be.
LYC the sector leader, producing after the standard delays waiting for some rare part to arrive in Malaysia, making a squillion and getting lots of attention for themselves and the sector. Managment have peeved the holders a couple of times by selling own holdings and deposits in conroversial circumstances SP $4.80.
ALK has good HREEs not mega heaps but good grades and some gold. Kinda similar to PEK but more advanced with a couple of different irons in the fire like us. Like what Ive heard behind the scences about managment and their start up progress. SP $3.60
NTU, could be anything. Could also be very little depending what they find when drilling is finally done. Seems to have good historic grades of REEs in relativly shallow bands ATM. Nice tie in with LYC, C Yue factor has a good following, difficult to value as rock chip and old records used to grade at this stage so i guess a charitable number $1.80.
ARU, dont know enough to even really have a guess, should be as much as ALK and I like PIRRA so will give it a Trech December guesstamate of SP $3.60
FRG, depends if they can get some of LYCs assets cheaply, very conroversial. No Tretch guess on this one ATM.
GGG, IMHO has been the most overvalued REE stock . Large deposit lowish grade, highly radiated in a mostly frozen country with a green government and a ban on Uranium mining. In court with ex partener, would require huge cash to progress and complete potitical reversal in Gland.Would like to see it go wel as its an Aussie company but it might be very tough to get this to commercialisation. Sorry guys $1. And thats cause im nice.
There are a bunch of samll specs, most not worth mentioning but NAV ORM and OKU may all have something. So might a few others especially in N Australia but often they have high radiaton mixed in and we still have a two U mine policy amongst their other potential problems.
Then there is PEK. Huge resource of LREEs some HREEs huge phosphate, niobium, tantalum titanium. Afican golds assets very promising in the heart of a hot spot, next door to SFR here in W.A. Extensive drilling campaign, great and frugal managment with lots of skin in the game. SP $2 plus.
Like to hear what holders think, we have several people who hold a couple or several different REE stocks.
Its percentage upside I am after and for my REE dollar PEK holds amongst the very best in this department.
Non holders and holders of other REE stocks please feel free to comment, please no abuse, unless its funny!
Remember these are my guesstamates and I am not qualified at this. I have written this for fun and to get a bit of debate going.
