I agree and disagree, while I disagree that 'exact' scenario happened, purely because I think the senegal government are dirt poor and are money hungry, they would want the 5million as soon as possible, however, I do agree that 'something' has happened between FAR and the Senegal Government, I have a feeling other players might be involved here, for example Ophir and petroson, I have a feeling that if KORA is successful, the decree will come, I mean think about it, all this time we have all been whinging about 'where is the decree' 'its taking forever'... IF the decree had been signed last year, around august, sep, nov - just before the lease ran out, we would have 'wasted' all of this time, because I dont think we still would have the amount of people needed (join ventures) to drill in senegal, we would have still been focusing on KORA which would mean 6months or more of the NEW 'lease' would have expired.

I think ME is playing it smart, delay the renewal until during or after the KORA SPUD, and then we could have more money in the bank and more time up our sleeves.
