You're right, when it comes to child birth women are phenomenal... ain't nothin pretty about that!
Children are a total game changer - I've just put my little bloke to bed and there is absolutely no greater joy than seeing him find comfort in my arms and drift off to sleep. He's 20 months old and I've done it every night since he was born.
I think your happiness is probably a good indicator of how good a dad you'll be to the new arrival and as you probably already know... the greatest gifts you can give a child are your love and your time.
