i can tell you for a fact that they can put it on your account today if you ask, but probably don't want to do any extra work for you.
i'd change brokers if i was you. you can get cheaper trades at bell direct and cmc markets.
as far as overhang goes, i've seen plenty of new issues get smashed down on the 2nd day after issue (i'm guessing it's most likely from commsec clients)
