I agree that this could be a good thing, even a very good thing and as you say the share price may go up because of it one day.

BUT

In the short term the share price will probably dip due to the discount given to the instos during this share placement.

The size of the dip will depend largely on the size of the discount and how the market feels about it. You can simply learn from history by looking at numerous other examples of placements and how it affected the share price of those companies.

The recovery from the dip could be fast or slow (who knows?) but that would largely depend on company performance, results and market sentiment towards PBI.
