Gold $USD1500 does not mean that much if AUD/USD is 1.1000.

The recent gains in the USD POG seem to be mainly related to the falling USD, and to a lesser extent tensions in North Africa.

What I want to see is a rising USD and a rising POG. When this happens our goldies soar. Perhaps this will happen in the second half of 2011 when we may have positive effects from strong seasonal demand for gold, continued world-wide inflation coupled with negative real interest rates, and a raising USD due to the end of QE2.
