Can someone please explain how this new tax is going to reduce our CO2 emissions when;
1. Our coal exports are rising. 2. Our other mineral exports are rising. 3. Our LNG exports are rising. 4. Our population is increasing. 5. Taxing my energy use and giving the money to someone on the dole isn't going to change my behaviour and certainly isn't going to change theirs. 6. China, India and the developing nations are massively increasing their emissions, whilst the First World is plateauing off.
I'm bloody bewildered by this tax grab I cannot see any benefit only more taxation, more government intervention and more waste.
