I've seen gaps that never close, and lots of them. Sure it's a truism that often plays out that way, but it does NOT have to happen. its a rule that's proven by the exceptions.
Personally, I doubt we'll see 13 cents again and that the gap will remain there for virtually all time to come. In fact I don't think we'll even see a trade at 14 cents again. One serious rally and she'll be off.
