Hi Davo - if I may quote your last post.
"Who would you trust- the independent view of someone who doesn't stand to gain or loose, who bases their opinion on facts from independent sources"
With respect - ROFL. Should we look in awe to the HC down rampers who hold no shares and continue to wallow in alleged independent sources they feel are being ignored by SH. Much as I appreciate their altruistic motives in saving MAE SH from impending ruin, I do wonder why they spend so much time on MAE. Surely there are more deserving and convincing stocks where their expertise, analysis and views would enlighten a more deserving and apparently uninformed audience.
Quoting again:
"or the views of posters who are directly tied to the stock and who base their opinions on what the company would like shareholders to believe in order to keep their well paid jobs!!!!"
Could be some SH are holding and buying stock due to their own sources and research. I hold speculative stocks in my portfolio as I expect many other HC posters do. Buy decisions are NOT made on what the company says in isolation to other sources. Who would be stupid enough to buy shares based only on what the company says. IMO as bad as relying only on HC posters and their expertise, knowledge, analytic skill, honesty and opinion.
The facts, as opposed to speculation, have been announced to the ASX. Research sources, as opposed to opinion, are in the public domain. The interpretation is up to stake holders.
Money has poured into MAE. No guarantee, but banks, institutions (yes!), sophisticated investors and a lot of others are supporting this company. All could all be wrong and HC non holders could be right.
I believe the offer to ALL SH to buy at 0.022 is a lot better than giving the chosen few the opportunity to buy at 0.022 and sell at (do your own maths here) somewhere between 0.20 and 0.40. IMHO.
The first 1 mcft/day may influence some. 5 mctf/d will help others. 20 mcft/day will be even more convincing. Cash flow positive will be a good early sign. A strategy to exploit the Helper field will be the tipping point.
Huge resources, gas flowing from multiple wells, aqusitive neighbours, strong demand for gas, high oil prices, infrastructural in place and the BIG ONE, honest, timely disclosures will determine market sentiment. Compare MAE and ODY to see the impact of sentiment (credibility!)
So, will you buy at 0.022?
DYOR and be satisfied with your decision. Don't whinge if it goes against you, especially if you didn't hold any.
