What can I add, except to say "Strap yourselves in ladies and gentlemen".
Seriously, this is a very significant step for the company and will fast track the path to production. As we know, Otjo is a company making deal and this money will help in no uncertain terms to make that deal happen.
It is now very clear that Shaw River Resources will be the next globally significant manganese producer.
It is a pity current shareholders don't get a look in on this one, given their strong support to date. The 20 cents per share buy-in price is a steal and would have been the icing on the cake for loyal Shaw River supporters. Management know that we are behind them, as acknowledged by MD Vincent Algar in the CR press release. "We are delighted by the strong international support received for the Placement which will see the introduction of a number of the world's largest and most well respected institutional investors onto the Shaw River register, and by the confidence demonstrated by our current shareholders" he said. Perhaps there is an opportunity for current shareholders in the second tranche?
Shareholder support will remain so long as benchmarks are achieved and we are always factored into the growth and opportunity equation. I am certain this will be the case. Having the international institutional investors on-board is a tremendous endorsement. I look forward to finding out who they are.
Let's not forget the enormous amount of work that lies ahead in reaching production and the potential challenges along the way. Keep the faith, our collective efforts will be rewarded.
The journey is about to get very exciting and will be reflected in the share price. I am changing my sentiment to buy.
