The poster did not understand this though, or he would have made the point himself. He also stated that he would have done the same with any further information from the author that he could get his hands on and could not see why I would not do so as well. He is lucky in this instance.

Of more concern though is that highly speculative forward-looking statements, selected from a prospectus and from a research documnent that referenced that prospectus, were re-published here as the uncontested truth, without the necessary legal caveats that originally accompanied them. This is completely misleading.

To misrepresent to a largely naiive audience that an authoritative publication has determined that there is an 80% chance of a success in this well that will lead to a share price of $4 is completely incorrect.

It probably had its desired effect though, and people read it, believed it, bought shares in the company and this made the share price (temporarily) increase.

You are right though. I should lighten up and leave it here.
