Morning Hookie. I also struggled to understand the US dollar action last night. I like Tota's response and would add that it seems to me that currency investors had to choose between two burning houses: the euro or the US dollar. I'd guess the dollar rallied because Europe's debt problems are more immediate? Investors settled on the lesser of two evils?
