bb, this just confirms that you do't live in the real world. The guy has enough to do with a whole pile of govt regulations without having to worry about carbon emissions. His electricity comes in through one point. He shouldn't have to care where it comes from - he just buys it from the retailer. He will pay the cheapest price.
You've got to be on a different planet to think that destroying the lifeblood of our economy with a tax is a good thing.
We need some strong leadership if we are going to reduce emissions. A good start would be the banning of use of air conditioners in all federal, state and local govt. buildings and cars. Spreading the ban to offices and homes. Pushing the responsibility to industry by means of a tax is a pathetic abrogation of duty.
