Labor is doing an excellent job of laying the groundwork for the next election. Libs dont have to do anything, just sit back and watch Labor blow itself to pieces through incompetent policies and political infighting. Labor has handed the next election to Libs on a silver platter through their own mismanagement. Policy on-the-run is a disease that runs through the present government and was inherited from Rudd (same advisors I guess). Compare the Rudd-Gillard style to Hawke-Keating; policies received widespread public review under Hawke-Keating and were beaten into shape through a transparent process. They were not dropped on an unsuspecting public sending shockwaves through financial markets etc. Labor's Carbon Tax is a clasic example. You would think they would have gotten their bosses in the unions on-side before comming up with a tax that penalises industrial output onto business.
