If we could gather together 5% of shareholders, we can ask the directors (and they have to comply) to hold a special general meeting to consider a proposal for an in-specie distribution of Bass Metals. I believe that the ISD would be a capital reduction and therefore would require a special resolution which would mean that we need 75% of shareholders to agree to it.
I have 50,000 shares but we will need many more. Is anyone else interested? If we get enough holders together, we can make it happen or at least get the directors to consider an ISD. The other option is a proposal for liquidation which would also require 75% shareholder approval. I prefer the ISD route as MFC has some pretty interesting and potentially profitable operations, it would be a shame to see them go to waste as would be likely in a liquidation.
It would certainly get the sp moving in the right direction.
