Is this a 2 horse race then, and if so , does first past the post really matter that much? This isnt the space race is it?. If your drug works it will be appealing, regardless of when released. If your drug has fewer side effects and polypharmic reactions than alternatives then it will be even more appealing. Then of course is costing profiles which is anyones guess with trial drugs.There is rarely a silver bullet. Look at Parkinsons as an example....
