I read an article recently that said that there has been a large increase in supply of vessels and as a result older ships are being de-commissioned and even shipping businesses are going broke. The article finished by saying that shipping prices are too cheap now and there is an opportunity to buy into shipping. (ha, ha - where is my credit card). They expected low prices to continue in the sort term, but a good medium-long term opportunity.
