I'm certainly not a fan of bill gates but the notion that Internet Explorer is a terrible browser is poorly founded and lacks adequate qualification. Sure, it has security issues and the main reason that has come to light is due to the fact that it holds 90% of the browser market which makes for maximum damage achievemnet for the authors of malware. If authors of malware put the same effort into attacking the other browsers on the market then we might just see serious security flaws being found in them also. I've tried several of the other browsers including firefox and have returned to IE each time, mainly due to the fact that the other browsers do not seem to offer superior functionality for my usage, and in fact IE is much more customisable than any of the others I'v tried. As for the concept of tab browsing (multiple sites in the one window) as opposed to having several windows open, I have not been able to determine why this is better or superior, but I stand to be educated on this point. Also, there are many enhanced browsers out there that are based on the IE platform which maintain the standard IE customisation features and offer stacks more over and above the included enhancements. I am interrested in responses to my statements, particularly that pertaining to tab browsing.
