the reason why they do it is there is a perception among managemnet in most companies that with fewer shares that traders will not trade there stock hence less volitilty which is incorrect.
2. it gives them more room to issue further shares at higher prices in the future 3. gives the perception to the market with the price being higher that it has a bigger market cap which is silly....
4. less costs etc etc however i i believe managemnt should just worry about getting the project up and running because when they do i can assure you that no of shres on issue will not matter and share price will appricate accordingly....imo
