odysseus is right... most investors short to protect positions that are long... for a percieved risky stock like CUE it kind of makes sense to protect their investments... by doing this they can attract the risk free rate of return (guaranteed)... IT seems unlikely that short sellers would short for speculating purposes for a few reasons.. 1) CUE is very illiquid making covering positions extremely risky if things go bad. 2) anybody with half a brain knows CUE is the goods, and that its only going to trend up over the long term...
