Anything can happen but no big drop imo.
As said previously, never gets as bad as one thinks and never gets as good as one hopes.
Anyone who bought from 2000 - 2009 would be on substancial paper profits in most cases 50-100% plus so a little 5,10,15 or 20% drop is not as bad as one bear makes it out to be.
The top end may drop and the very low end will have no cap gains, but stay in the middle median and you will be just fine.
In any event, your losing on paper with a drop, but if your not selling for 10-30 years (if ever) then it makes not one iota of difference.
But one thing is for certain....rents will continue to rise from this point.
