re: spp - to consolidate at 4.5-4.6 u need to be a holder by Record date!
That is, your trade needs to be FULLY SETTELED on or before the record date.. not in transit...

I look at it like a cheque, chqs take 3 days to clear genreally speaking..but u can bank a chque on Monday into your bank account..so it appears as money there..then come day 2 on Wednesday, cheques bounced..moneys gone (insufficient funds)!

even tho u 'held' the funds on Monday

Suggestion to settle on or before record date.. call your broker BEFORE market opens 9am, and let them know your situation ands whats required by you (ie. maybe a SIGNED fax request for Early Settlement they may say?)
